Graduate Certificates

The Graduate Program in education offers a number of post-baccalaureate certificates.  Graduate certificates consist of a series of graduate courses focused on addressing skills and competencies to respond to an emerging need or specific area of interest within the professional community.  Students typically apply as "non-degree seeking" with the understanding that their enrollment period is for the duration of the certificate.  Degree-seeking graduate students are also eligible to earn graduate certificates as a part of their graduate degree program.

 Graduate Certificate in Special Education

• The candidate must complete 12 hours of graduate work from the indicated special education emphasis of the M.Ed. curriculum.
• The candidate must earn a grade of A or B in all certificate courses.
• All certificate courses must be completed within three years of initial graduate enrollment. 

  Graduate Certificate in Instructional Technology

• The candidate must complete 12 hours of graduate work from the indicated instructional technology emphasis of the M.Ed. curriculum.
• The candidate must earn a grade of A or B in all certificate courses.
• All certificate courses must be completed within three years of initial graduate enrollment.

Graduate Certificate in Athletic Administration

• The candidate must complete 12 hours of graduate work from the indicated athletic administration emphasis of the M.Ed. curriculum.
• The candidate must earn a grade of A or B in all certificate courses.
• All certificate courses must be completed within three years of initial graduate enrollment.
