The Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) major allows students to design a multidisciplinary degree program relative to an educational or occupational/vocational objective that would not be possible with existing division/department degree plans. Students may elect the Interdisciplinary Studies major in the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree programs. The signed degree plan with a complete description of the IDS Major should be developed by the end of the Junior year and must be filed no later than the registration next following the student's completion of 90 semester hours of study (the beginning of the Senior year). The IDS Major will consist of 33 semester hours or more with at least 15 semester hours at the 300 level within at least two but no more than four disciplines, and include some capstone experience. IDS majors must complete all other requirements for the degree sought.
